Anyone want to try out this new (to us anyway) Nexon game? It'll be out of closed beta on the 23rd.

I've looked at that preview video on the site, and kinda look interesting. But what is the game all about anyway? Seems more like those Sims game ... which I somehow never really get good playing ... but yea count me out though ... not really in a mood to start something new right now ... maybe later on if Maple gets too boring or too annoying.

All characters made during that time span will be deleted after the period is over.

Ah, thought it was officially open. So it'll be a preview thing, and they'll delete your char like in Tespia.

As for the game's content, I have no idea. After watching all the promo videos I didn't really care, I want that killing a bear with bare hands title.

what exactly do you do in that game..?
I'm just a lil lost after watching those promo videos..
I only get the idea that you fight a bear and farm your land...
What is the purpose of this game exactly?

From what I see on youtube it looks like a cross between Harvest Moon and a regular mmo.

The dungeon's unique item entry is pretty neat.

It does seem to be interesting ... my only quip is that the battle scene ... it seems so slow, like ok one hit, then a few seconds later another attack, and so forth, like a slow motion thing (I wonder if it is actually a slow motion video).

My biggest problem with these 3d games ... I'm clumsy in term of playing with mouse + keyboard ... so that's I guess my main reason of not gonna try this game. But we'll see.

From the other videos it seems that it really is that slow.

I've been in Mabinogi for two days and it was awesome! The game play is unique and there are lots of mundane time wasting activities. It seems that there's a penalty system if you go off grinding on monsters in the field, so you level up by going to the instance dungeon and doing quests.

The battle system is either lame or I am not use to it. When battling a monster it seems so random as to what they'll do and you can only hit them for about 3 hits before you stall. The mage skills are rather lame, it takes over 10 seconds to cast a fully charged fire/ice bolt...then you run like hell or finish off the monster with your melee weapon/skills.

The camera angle is flexible, I was able to control it with the mousepad, and the graphics are okay.

Overall it's a refreshing game.

This is such a great game! I've been playing since they came out of closed beta, and today is the official commercial release. There's never a dull moment in this game, y'all should join

Well Azeo ... I might actually give this game a try ... Maple is honestly going downhill very fast.
Item prices are nuts ... the community sucks ... hackers being left to do whatever they want.
It seems to me that Nexon is abandoning the game outright.

it is a great game, I played the full closed ver, I"ll see you all on there and maple when I get back home to my computer... away from this dial up crap :S well baby is crying got to run.
